RecruitHire at the 2009 Online Recruiting Expo

November 4th, 2009

This week RecruitHire is exhibiting at the 2009 Online Recruiting Expo in Chicago.  Conference topics include using web 2.0 and social media in your online recruitment efforts – which ties in perfectly to the RecruitHire online recruiting system.  Check out the conference at http://www.therecruitingconference.com, and be sure to visit RecruitHire at Booth #203.

In conjunction with the show, RecruitHire officially launched their next generation online recruiting tool.  Built by recruiters with more than 40 years of experience, RecruitHire offers the tools and functionality necessary to match a candidate with an open position across town or across country in as little as 72 hours.

RecruitHire`s online recruitment management system offers several distinct benefits over competing services, including:

* Recruiter Ranking and Reputation, a system that rewards recruiters for supplying good candidates who progress in the hiring process.

* Candidate Profiles completed by recruiters that require more detail than a resume, giving the employer peace of mind knowing the recruiter knows the candidate well.

* A Customizable Message Center that allows both recruiters and employers to streamline the recruiting process by creating their own personal online recruiting management system.

Stay focused to find the best candidates

October 29th, 2009

How have recent changes in the job market affected the candidate search for employers?

Desirable positions have always attracted a lot of candidates. It’s not unusual to see hundreds of resumes submitted in response to a single job post. That’s always been the case, and it continues to be the case.

In the past, however, only a small handful of resumes submitted would actually be relevant to the posted position–making it easy to narrow the list of candidates. Now, however, it’s not uncommon to see a much higher number of *relevant* submissions. It’s no longer as easy to narrow the candidate list.

This is where a good recruiter really comes in handy. Since many recruiters specialize within an industry, they’ll often be able to sort out which candidates hold the most potential. In addition, their industry connections help them keep an ear to the ground to know a candidate’s reputation within the industry–or if they don’t even have a reputation.

Great candidates are still out there. The current climate can benefit employers–but it requires an even tighter focus.

If you’d like more information on how to get the most out of your candidate search, visit www.RecruitHire.com. Our unique recruiter rating system allows you to work with only the best. Get the help you need to find the best candidates for your executive search at www.RecruitHire.com.

Is the recession receding for recruiters?

October 29th, 2009

The recession has had an effect on recruiting, no doubt. And it’s easy to become caught up in the speculation surrounding recessionary fears. But what’s really happening?

The past 12 months have been a crazy period, as many took a reactionary approach to market uncertainty. However, we seem to have come through the worst of it, particularly for skilled positions.

In the under $50,000 salary range, there’s been some improvement, but nothing too significant. On the other hand, higher-compensated employees (who are more insulated from market swings, thanks to steady demand), have seen an uptick in demand. This is not a huge spike, but I think it’s fairly safe to say that we’ve seen the worst of it, especially for skilled positions.

What do you think? Based on your experience, how has the market for recruiting been affected by recent economic activity?

FAQ about RecruitHire’s acquisition of Dayak

September 14th, 2009

What does this change mean for the existing RecruitHire community? For the Dayak community?

This will benefit both communities. RecruitHire is new—the first public beta launched earlier this year in July. With several hundred existing users, combined with Dayak’s users, we are building a large community of employers and recruiters. RecruitHire is a networking tool that cuts down the inefficiencies of the recruiting process, so having more users benefits everyone.

Can I use my existing Dayak account to log in to RecruitHire? When will my account be converted?

Yes! We’ve already made the necessary modifications behind the scenes to allow you to use your Dayak account to log in to RecruitHire, starting immediately. You’ll log in using your existing credentials: the email address you registered with Dayak and your Dayak password.

If you already had an account with both Dayak and RecruitHire using the same email address, the accounts have been merged, and you’ll continue to use your RecruitHire password to login.

How does this change affect the privacy of my personal information?

RecruitHire remains committed to the safety and security of your personal information. We respect your privacy, and your account is protected by our Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.recruithire.com/index/privacy/.

Former Dayak users are now subject to the RecruitHire Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (available at http://www.recruithire.com/Terms%20of%20Use.pdf). If you choose, you may opt out of these changes by cancelling your RecruitHire account and discontinuing use of the site.

How is the functionality of RecruitHire different from Dayak? What will change and how?

Much of the basic functionality is the same. However we have some clear advantages that benefit both our employer and recruiter communities. For example, our rating system allows employers to rank and rate recruiters according to the level of work they have done. That allows our network to grow as large as possible without slowing anything down. Great recruiters will get more work and poor recruiters will have to improve their performance. RecruitHire also offers a free standalone applicant tracking system with auto-matching AI to radically accelerate the placement process.

Will I still be able to share candidates and openings with other recruiters?

Yes! RecruitHire has a Recruit Split Network (separate from our employer job listings).

How much does it cost to use RecruitHire?

Employers: There is no cost to the employer to use RecruitHire. No start up cost or monthly fees. Nothing, zero, it is absolutely FREE.

Recruiters: RecruitHire is a free service. There are no up front costs, membership fees or hidden fee structures. Any qualified recruiter is welcome to use our service.

How does RecruitHire make money?

Every time a successful placement is made RecruitHire keeps 15% of the placement fee and delivers 85% directly to the successful recruiter. Recruiters who refer or are referred by enterprise solutions will be eligible for significantly higher placement fee percentages. Employers will continue to pay recruiting fees as usual but will experience a more efficient and timely outcome from the recruiting process.

How are fees determined between Employers and Recruiters?

Employers set the rate at which they are comfortable paying fees for recruiter services. The typical fee structure is anywhere from 15% to 35% of first year compensation. Fees will vary from industry to industry. In Information Technology fields the average fee is approximately 20%–in the financial/banking industry the average fee is closer to 30%. Varying levels of efforts on the part of the recruiter will command varying fees. Also keep in mind, particularly difficult searches will require higher fees.

Should I expect a change in customer service?

If anything, the experience will be better! We’re committed to making RecruitHire the best experience possible for both employers and recruiters. Let us know how we can help!

What will happen to my existing Dayak listings? What about outstanding payments?

Existing Dayak listing and payments have all been reconciled.

Will I still make as much money as a recruiter through RecruitHire?

Because of the size of our network, and because we keep our fees at current market values, a good recruiter should make significantly more money using RecruitHire than through the old Dayak model.

What if I still have questions?

We’re happy to answer your questions! You can reach us through our contact form at http://www.recruithire.com/index/contactus/ or by phone at 1-888-355-HIRE.

RecruitHire goes live

April 27th, 2009

RecruitHire.com is now LIVE!

RecruitHire.com has released it’s official public beta version1.0 and is currently accepting new Employers and Recruiters to the site.

Welcome to RecruitHire.com!

April 27th, 2009

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the RecruitHire.com site. We are thrilled to finally be launching this platform that we have been working on for close to a  year now. The ultimate goal for us was to develop a cost effective way to bring together Employers looking for great Recruiters and cut out much if not all business development efforts. I know from experience that as a Recruiter, business development wasn’t my favorite call to make and I have heard countless times from Employers that there are days when they just can’t take any more of those calls.

So we worked real hard to implement existing technology and simple networking tools that make it possible for Employers to find Recruiters and vice versa. If that weren’t enough (and it’s not) we also worked into our system a reporting and accountability features where Employers can rate the experience they have with Recruiters. RecruitHire.com takes those ratings and combines them with statistical metrics of use from the site to build our Reputation and Ranking scores. It will now be easy for solid to great Recruiters to show new Employers what they can do based on the feedback from prior jobs worked and successful placements.

On the flip side of things, Recruiters will have access to statistical metrics of use from the site so they can evaluate the track record of Employers. After all no Recruiter wants to waste time presenting candidates to Employers who are merely fishing for information and are not serious about making hires.

There is much more included in the site and I suggest you go through it and explore. If you happen to find things that you absolutely love, please let us know. If something you would like to see on the site isn’t there yet, please submit a suggestion to our development team and we will review it’s merits and get back to you on a timeline for updating our service with the suggested improvements.

Until then let’s see what you think and I’ll be in touch with more news and blogged info as we move forward.

Cheers,

Alain
